Packed With Pride Goes to Washington

Hi Everyone,

The week of  June 6, 2006, Packed with Pride was invited to attend a meeting with President Bush at the White House.  We were one of 12 non-profit organizations who support our troops.  We were invited to meet with the President so he could thank us personally for our part in supporting the troops.   Jim and I flew to DC which was a wonderful experience since we had never been to the East Coast.  We got a chance to visit the sites and see all that we could see in 4 days.  It rained the entire time we were there but it was still a moving and exciting experience.  One of the most memorable days was of course meeting with  the President again, but we were so moved when we visited Arlington National Cemetery.  We found Jesse's picture on the Wall of Honor there at  Arlington.  It caught us off guard and when we saw his picture we both broke down and wept.

We left pictures of Jesse's children at his picture on the wall.

                                                                                                        Love, Becky
